Current focus and active work
I am a PhD Candidate and Research Engineer at the University of Deusto (DeustoTech), advancing toward my doctorate in Engineering for the Information Society.
My primary applied context is the Horizon Europe project HARMONIE (Health Assessment Refinement for Mitigating Noise and Air Quality Effects), project ID 101238943, where I deploy gamified citizen science infrastructure to improve crowdsourced environmental data collection.
My PhD research investigates how deterministic, equity-aware gamification systems can improve participation quality and fairness in spatial crowdsourcing platforms.
I study this from a spatial justice perspective, with the goal of making underrepresented geographic areas more visible in participatory data generation processes.
